ASoOC Students are booking and shining, and here is how...
Intermediate Student Henny Guerra has recently signed with two agencies, Mix Models and Prestigious, for Commercial, Print, and Fit representation.
Ryan Tran, Intermedaiate student, will play Kevin, a lead in an upcoming Chapman Thesis titles "Perserverance." He is also playing Casey, a lead, in Pasadena City College's film "Smokey."
Advanced student, Khai Thach went to Utah for a week to shoot an episode for a series that will run on BYUtv starting next year. The series potrays stories that are told in the Book of Mormon. We are excited for him!
Robert Slaski, intermediate student, just signed with Avant Artists for across-the-board representation!
Nova Jones will be starring as Eva in the short film, "Open Mic Night."
Ryan Tran was cast in "Eventually Learned," a web series for Youtube RED.
Amariah Garza has signed with DreamRay Talent and Modeling Agency.
Caitlin Jung signed with Rascals Talent Agency and Management Montage. Caitlin participated in the Spring Teen Agent Showcase. We are so proud of her!
Charles Campuzano has been cast in a feature film called the Tragedy of Jimmy Jimmy Kates.

Erick McAllister is killing it! He has just booked the role of Shawn in a DiscoveryID channel, realistic drama titled, "Betrayed."

Serenity Productions has recently cast two ASOOC actors: Intermediate student, Sammie Kahkola as "Lailah," and Advanced Student, Andre Devin as "Zach," in short film, The Beast of Backliff Bay.
Teen Student Julia Franczese just booked a lead role in a film! She is flying to Spain to begin shooting.
Teen Acting Intensive student Julia Franczese has booked a supporting role in BFF, an independent feature film directed by Greg Carter! She travels to New Orleans in a few weeks to begin shooting.
ERICK MCALLISTER, has been cast as "Dante" in a full-length film, The Rifleman, due to start shooting this fall!

Emma Coles, private student of Sonya Cooke, has been accepted into the Preliminary Acting Course at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Emma competed against thousands of students from all over the country, most of whom were ten years her superior. This offer is a tremendous succes for such a young and promising actress.
Amanda Da Silva, student in Brett's Thursday Beginning Acting class, recently signed on with Susan Nathe & Associates Talent Agency in Los Angeles!
Charles Campuzano, intermediate student, just finished shooting a short film, still untitled by Saddleback Film and Television. He was cast as lead! The short film was written and directed Khash Hassonpour and produced by Tracy Sabeti. It was shot in Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano and is due out in early June 2015.
Deanna Tavakoly, intermediate student, was cast as the lead in a short film as well!
The California School of Professional Psychology reached out to ASOOC to employ actors for an educational event. We sent out the breakdown for this paying gig to first our Intermediate Students and then select Beginning Acting students. So far, I know of five from ASOOC who were cast! Congrats to: Cathy Irons, Kimberly Bennion, Dominic Bosonetta, Deanna Tavakoly, and Eddie Villa-Lobos.
Tasha Tormey will be acting at the big for summer playhouse in Montana. Playing the lead in Smokey Joes Cafe and Wednesday Addams in the Addams Family Along with many other roles.
Hillary Weintraub was cast in Tribute by Bernard Slade at the 2nd Story Theatre, Hermosa Beach

Daminh Tran played one of the leads for a training video done by Toastmasters International. In February he played a big supporting role in a student film called To the Sun and another one for a Sci-Fi short called Conversations with My Electric Toothbrush. In March, Daminh is scheduled to film another student film called Second Thoughts and another segment of training videos for Toastmasters, International.
Kevin Young was cast as Phillip in The Shape of Things by Neil LaBute at UC-Irvine
Beth Shields and Paul Pancoe are also performing in Racoonitis, a Mockumentary!
Garrett Daily was cast in a feature film, due to shoot this summer in the Northeast.
Several other students are auditioning, receiving callbacks and great feedback in their auditions. Many more are starting their professional pursuits for the first time.

Iris Gonzalez, a student who trained with owner, Sonya Cooke, for three years before joining the school as an administrative assistant, is working with the prestigious LA theater company, Cornerstone Theater Company. She is currently a part of the touring ensemble on their yearlong tour across the state with their production of California: The Tempest, recently reviewed in the Los Angeles Times.
Eddie Villa-Lobos starred in Bender, as a part of the OC Centric New Play Festival (www.oc-centric.com), and just wrapped a project with South Coast Repertory. The production, The Long Road Today/El Largo Camino de Hoy, was produced with community partner, Latino Health Access, and performed at the Santa Ana Civic Center. (www.scr.org/dialogos).
Lani O'Brien has been involved on various film projects including Poppin’ the Question and Small Claims, where she implemented some of the techniques she developed from her work in the studio.
Stefan Marchand has recently booked a short film with 999 Productions.
Brian Williams started rehearsals for an adaptation of Tolstoy's Anna Karenina at Capital Stage in Sacramento, CA.

After the Kids and Teens Showcase in late May, our young actors have been meeting with agents and managers from Los Angeles and Orange County. Several have already signed with new representation and have started to audition!
~ TEACHER BOOKS LEAD IN MOVIE!
Teacher for Kids Acting, Nasi Nassiri, is cast as the lead in a feature film, as well as two other film projects. She was also cast in a play that will be produced in Chicago!

Owner and Head Teacher, Sonya Cooke, attended the Arts in Society Conference at Sapienza University in Rome where she presented on the studio's core methodology, The Seven Pillars of Acting Technique. Later this year, her article on the technique will be published in their annual academic journal.
