ALL OF OUR CLASSES ARE CAPPED AT 14 STUDENTS, MANY OF WHICH ARE EVEN CAPPED AT 8 OR 6.
STUDENTS WORK EVERY WEEK, NOT EVERY OTHER WEEK OR EVERY THREE WEEKS LIKE AT OTHER ACTING SCHOOLS.
OUR STUDENTS RECEIVE FREE CAREER MENTORSHIP THROUGH THE OWNER, SONYA COOKE. WE SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS LIKE A TEAM SUPPORTS ITS ATHLETES.
Beginning Acting for Adults
Seven Pillars Acting, taught exclusively at The Actor’s Studio of Orange County, is a professional technique for the modern actor. Beginning Acting for Adults is broken into two sections: Living Truthfully and The Reality of Doing. Living Truthfully focuses on the Pillars of Contact, Circumstance, Meaning and Emotional Life, and The Reality of Doing focuses in on Objective, Action and Physical Life. Both sections make up two halves of one whole, equipping the actor with all the tools she needs to act. The actor can start with either course when beginning her training.
Advanced Levels for Adults
The Advanced Level Classes focus exclusively on Scene Study. Students will be assigned a scene and a scene partner and will be expected to rehearse and prepare for each class. The scene material is challenging and the expectations are for students to apply everything they have learned to their work.
One-Day Workshops
These one-day workshops are designed for busy people who want to train while also keep up with the other obligations of life. Each workshop is taught by ASOOC’s Owner, Sonya Cooke, and are meant to immerse the student into the POWER of each pillar.
Teen Classes
Our Teen Training is one of a kind; students study the same technique as taught to the adults. We believe that Teens are ready for this level of work, and they thrive in the safe yet challenging environment. Students as young as 12 may join

Kids Acting
This Winter, our studio is offering a special 6 week course for kids ages 6 - 10! Through a variety of games and activities, the students will work to build their understanding of teamwork, refine their creativity, and begin to develop their acting skills. The work they will do will end in the culmination of a 25 minute performance of a classic fairytale on the final day of class.
Industry Workshops
Industry Workshops are a very special program at The Actor’s Studio of Orange County. We are bringing down 5 industry professionals and masters in their craft to lead 6 workshops that will give our students the cutting-edge of professional preparation, artistic enrichment and acting know-how. All Industry Workshop instructors have something very special to contribute to the training of an actor. From Richard Zelniker’s workshop in auditioning and performance to Breanne Murphy’s Shakespeare and hip-hop jam, students will be exposed to techniques and professionals who will challenge their conception of performance and empower them to stretch in their capabilities. Anyone (teens and adults) may join these workshops, and we apply discounts for students currently enrolled in a Fall Semester course. Those who opt for the WORKSHOP PASS will receive the steepest of discounts and are automatically enrolled in every workshop. This will pay off when each one sells out due to high demand! Specialty Courses
Our Acting Technique Classes for teens and adults focus on Acting alone so that full attention can be given to this challenging art form. This is why we have an extensive menu of Specialty Courses; acting is multi-faceted, demanding differing skills and knowledge, such as Film Technique, Audition Technique, Voice, Improv, Movement and Business skills.
